INDIAN BENCHMARKS indices opened marginally lower, amid profit taking at higher levels after strong gains in the past few sessions. IT and select bank shares were among the top Sensex losers. Ashok Leyland will be in action ahead of its second quarter results on Wednesday.
FUTHER, Index heavyweight Reliance Industries will be in action after the company Ltd (RIL) has refused to sign a petroleum ministry-sponsored resolution rejecting a revised investment plan for the main gas fields. BHEL was down 1% ahead of its Q2 earnings on Wednesday.
Trend in FII flows: The FIIs were net buyers of Rs 5cr in the cash segment on Sunday while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers of Rs. 12cr, as per the provisional figures released by the NSE.
