INDIAN BENCHMARKS ended flat ahead of HSBC PMI data.
INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK ended flat, amid a volatile trading session, as September services PMI which contracted at its steepest pace in four years weighed on investor sentiment. On the sectoral front Realty, Consumer Durables, metals and auto indices traded higher followed by Oil & Gas, Healthcare, FMCG, IT, PSU and banks on the gaining front. Power and Capital Goods were the only laggards.
Further, Tata Communications Ltd rose 4.2 percent after HSBC upgraded the stock to "overweight" from "neutral" citing a potential takeover of unit Neotel. Lupin has moved higher extending its previous day’s 1% gain, after the pharmaceutical company said it has launched the generic version of Allergan Inc's Zymaxid Ophthalmic Solution.
The crucial resistance for Nifty is now seen at 6010 and above this 6060. Support for the immediate term is now placed at 5910 and next support will be 5850.
