INDIAN MARKET OUTLOOK - 07 OCTOBER 2013

INDIAN BENCHMARKS are likely to open lower amid weak Asian cues. Stocks in Asia opened lower as the partial US federal government shutdown continues after lawmakers fail to reach a consensus on the budget and healthcare spending bill.

FUTHER, ONGC and Oil India would be in action after the government has approved ONGC Videsh Ltd, the overseas arm of ONGC, and its partner Oil India Ltd acquiring a total of 20% stake in a giant offshore gas field in Mozambique for over $5 billion.

Trend in FII flows: The FIIs were net buyers of Rs 2316cr in the cash segment on Friday while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers of Rs. 1145cr, as per the provisional figures released by the NSE.
